The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue: Keeping White People On The Cover Since 1998.
OK. So that’s not entirely true. Every year there is, rightfully, an uproar about the lack of non-white actors represented in major Hollywood features. This year the Vanity Fair Hollywood issue includes two black actresses under the fold: Adepero Oduye (Pariah) and Paula Patton (MI:Ghost Protocol) I looked for an article talking about this issue from the beginning of its (the Hollywood Issue started in 1995) existence and couldn’t find one. It seems as though it’s just written/talked about every year. You can see most of the covers here.
