I was sitting in the car waiting for it to warm up before I drove away and was facing a real busy intersection. This intersection has a left turn lane where you can take a left or make a really sharp u-turn. I sat there through a few cycles of the lights changing watching people take this sharp u-turn. Almost every single person making the turn visibly gritted their teeth or just looked panicked as they were turning. Then I thought about how many times I took that u-turn and wondered if I had made that face too.
