Pete Campbell is one of my least favorite characters on [Mad Men] and this week I felt bad for disliking him so much. You know how sometimes you see a friend going down a path of self-destruction and no matter what you do you can’t help them until they reach rock bottom and you have to call up Intervention because you’ve always wanted to be on that show so maybe you didn’t do something to help on purpose? No? Well, Pete Campbell is heading for an Intervention and I am writing my letter to him right now…Pete, honey, get your life.

When I watched the show last night I was like, “Yep! That’s the only thing I will need gif’d. Thank you.”

If Elisabeth Moss doesn’t win on the strength of The Suitcase everything is just wrong with the Emmy Awards.  That was a perfect hour of television.

i was watching portlandia and thought that a character was the dad from clarissa explains it all.  so i went to google him and realized clarissa’s dad is tom vogel, trudy’s father, from mad men.  how have i not realized this?

I think they’ve definitely grown closer than they’ve ever been. I think that at the same time they have a unique relationship. They’re never going to be best friends, but they love each other. It’s a relationship that is full of dichotomies, and I think that she knows him more than anyone and I think she’s incredibly confused and very much doubting and questioning his choice. And me of course playing Peggy, I agree with her, and I think there’s a whole lot of respect there and he’s her boss, and she’s not going to tell him that he shouldn’t be doing this. So I also think their relationship is sort of what it has always been.
